Warblers 4 – Black-and-White Warbler

Black-and-White Warblers behave a lot like Nuthatches, so if you’re not paying attention you may mis-identify your bird.

This little Black-and-White Warbler is a female (you can tell by the pattern of black and white on her head), and she spent a happy few minutes scurrying head-first down the trunks of the old cedars and hemlocks that grow down by the lake at my parents’ cottage before moving on to her next stop.
