Dwarf Gray Pea

This is one of the things growing in my mother’s garden.

She plants both flowers and vegetables every year. This one is both.

The blossoms, which are an extraordinary combination of pale pink and deep crimson, will eventually develop into an edible podded pea – so it’s pretty, and you can eat it.

The best of both worlds!
