Late Summer Dawn

I’ve mentioned before that I’m a bit of an early bird.

When I’m on holiday up in Muskoka, I like to get up in the wee hours and take the canoe out on the lake, when no one else is up and there are no other boats out except for the occasional fisherman. I can usually get out on the lake well before sunrise.

On this particular day, the colours in the sky just before sunrise were incredible. I took this photo even before putting the canoe in the water.

  1. I love how the shoreline and its reflection leads me to the place where dawn will shine.
