Sailboats on Lake Ontario

I’m not much of a sailor, but I love seeing sailboats on the water.

They seem to move so effortlessly over the waves – no motor churning, no oars heaving, only the gurgle and rattle of the water moving past the hull, and the flutter of the sails against the breeze, blue and white, and brilliant sunlight shining over everything; a flock of pale triangles skimming across the surface of the lake like great birds.
