Sunflower

At the foot of the street my parents live on, this sunflower and its colleagues are growing in a guerrilla garden that someone has planted in the boulevard in front of an apartment building. They’re called sunflowers because many varieties turn their flowers over the course of the day so that they’re always facing the sun, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they also bring a little sunshine into a cloudy day.
